Supreme Leader Meets Foreign Seminarians, Religious Scholars

Ayatollah Khamenei the Supreme Leader of the Islamic Revolution met this morning with thousands of foreign seminarians and religious scholars. In this meeting, His Eminence described reproduction of the lofty teachings of Islam as one of the goals of the Islamic Republic.
He reiterated: "Familiarity of Muslim nations with these teachings, which are a source of salvation, will prepare the ground for a feeling of identity, grandeur, progress, freedom and power in the Muslim Ummah."

His Eminence described paying attention to the Islamic Ummah as a great and timeless lesson of Imam Khomeini (r.a.) for the Iranian nation and the officials of the Islamic Republic, further adding: "The Islamic Revolution has sought to liberate the Islamic Ummah from the hands of the arrogant powers since the beginning of its existence."
Ayatollah Khamenei said that the presence of seminarians and scholars of around one hundred countries in Qom prepares the ground for the familiarity of nations with the pure teachings of Islam.
He added: "The purpose of this auspicious presence is not to export the Revolution in the common political sense of the word. This is because the Revolution is not an entity which can be exported through political, security and military tools. For this reason, the Islamic Republic has rejected incorrect conceptions of exporting the Revolution from the beginning."
The Supreme Leader of the Islamic Revolution said that the purpose of the presence of foreign seminarians and scholars in Qom is scientific and educational. He added: "Knowledge and understanding are sought after wherever they are. Your presence in this holy city is indicative of the power of Islamic sciences and teachings to attract enthusiastic hearts."
Ayatollah Khamenei said that Islamic teachings are fundamentally attractive and added that ethics, humility and kindness towards the people are the best methods of transferring these teachings to other nations.
Ayatollah Khamenei touched on the efforts of hegemonic and arrogant powers during the past two hundred years to give rise to lack of vigilance and create a feeling of humiliation among Muslim nations. "The Islamic Revolution revived such historic concepts as grandeur, justice, resistance and Islamic identity in the minds of the Islamic Ummah and foiled the long-standing plans of the arrogant powers."
Ayatollah Khamenei said that steadfastness and resistance were among the main things that God taught to the Holy Prophet (s.w.a.), further stating: "From the beginning of his movement in the year 1342, our magnanimous Imam (r.a.) taught this lesson to the Iranian nation with his resistance in the face of different problems. And his strong will and firm determination were never shaken in the course of the most difficult storms and events."
Ayatollah Khamenei described the Iranian nation's adherence to Imam Khomeini's (r.a.) lesson of patience and resistance as the reason behind the failure of non-stop, overt and secret plots of the enemies of Islam, further adding: "Global bullying powers have caused uproar about the sanctions which have been imposed against Iran. But through its resistance and patience, this nation has caused the strategy of imposing sanctions to fail during the past thirty years. And by Allah's favor, the Islamic Republic is at the peak of its political power by relying on its insight and resistance."
