after the establishment of I.P.O.H and following Imam Khomeini's (R) guidelines, for accentuating the clergies' level of socio cultural and political level of awareness, educational activities of the IP for providing the way for educational facilities in the scopes of Islamic and humanistic fields were formed in order to reassess in structural needs as well as expansion of seminary centers for education with connection to universities.
In 1991, Baqir al-Oloum Institute way opened, with permission of supreme council of expansion.
This institute with the approach of defining and launching the filed of Islamic humanities needs for culturalization, with taking warranted permit from ministry of science, research and technology, in 2005 continued its activities, now as a university.
This university consists of three faculties: "politics, sociology and history", "Islamic philosophy studies" and "foreign language faculty (Arabic, English and French)", as well as four specialized centers: "Islamic studies instructions", "[applied and cultural]", "[literature and artistic]" and "instructor training for children"; Seven independent educational groups in Mashhad, Five independent groups in Isfahan, 2 specialized libraries with more than 59000 books in Persian, English, Arabic and other languages, benefiting from 270 well-known professors among which, there are 34 faculty members from Hawzah seminary learned teachers and the presence of more than 2000 clergy-university students benefiting from seminary instructional methods had changed this university to a training center for specialized members needed for many organs and institutions in the field of cultural activities. Other activities of this university are Publishing 22 Titles of Books, 3 Periodicals:
"Specialized Quarterly for Politics, History of Islam and Mirror of Wisdom", holding 31 scientific meetings and seminars, composing more than 1000 theses and papers in different Islamic humanities field, obtaining tens of national ranks in different festivals, contracting 12 agreements with various national or international universities and participating in conducting different courses for clergy training for hajj and professor training for universities in the field of Islamic education are some parts of I.P.O.H seminary activities. College of Politics, Sociology and History:
This college with s majors, politics (B.A, M.A, and PHD), history (B.A and M.A) and sociology (B.A.) has accepted 1254 students (men and women) that about 921 ones have been graduated in those foresaid fields.

College of Islamic Philosophy and Theology
This faculty with Islamic Philosophy and Theology major (M.A and PHD) and Islamic studies instructorship (M.A and PHD) has accepted 219 male and female students that about 104 of them are graduated.

College of Foreign Languages
I.P.O.H in 1980 following imam Khomeini's (May his soul be in peace.) desire based on exporting Islamic revolution culture to all over the world, established foreign language department for making the seminary students familiar with live languages in the world. This unit in 1991 changed it's name to foreign language center and in 2005 after the promotion of Bqir al-Oloum higher educational institute to Bqir al-Oloum university, this center, like wise, changed it's name to foreign language college and, now, after about three decades of experiences in instructing Arabic, English & French; it efforts to gain more successes.
2600 English, French and Arabic language graduates are one part of this center's valuable activities.
 
Center for Islamic Sciences' Studies
This center was established in 1993 for expanding religious studies and training scientific experts for preparing intellectual needs and providing the way of flowering the aptitudes and training efficient seminary staff as well as the promotion for clergies wives' scientific level.

Center for Instructor Training for Children and Teenagers
This center as the most specialized center for instructor training for children and teenagers in religious scope in country till now by holding 60 specialized instructive excurses in all over the country and some Muslim countries and training thousands of instructors, authors, experts of training issues for children and teenagers, building specialized libraries with more than 32 thousand volumes of books, composing several books and essays about children and teenagers, compiling the book "supplies for the light travelers" for the propagators wanting to propagate in different levels like primary or guidance school are another parts of the valuable services to the Islamic Iran.

Center for Cultural Applied Education
Radio development of human societies in the recent world, requires the necessity of promoting the levels of capabilities for propagating with special specifications, accordingly, for training specialized missioners for responding society's requirements, the center of cultural applied education was established. This center by holding general and specialized courses for propagators (both men of women), has organized 2500 propagators. It's remained to be said that, based on common cooperating agreement with the supreme leader's office, conducting and instructing the clergy and eulogists for Hajj ceremony is this center's responsibility from 2005.

Center for Literal Artistic Instructions
Art and literature as a delicate, effective and long-lasting language, is the best method for communicating and propagating Islamic thoughts and educations. Therefore, this center was established in 1992 for propagating efficiently and comprehensively.
This center with conducting 32 courses in instructing art and literature with religious and propagating approach for the missioners (both men of women) till now, has organized 11733 propagators. Writing, editing, story writing and media literature are some fields in the literal scope, and screenwriting and movie analyzing and criticizing are among the visual arts and designing, painting and graphics are among visual plastic art: more over, calligraphy and the philosophy of arts are other fields in this regard.

Specialized Library
This library with the purpose of supplying specialized texts and needed tracts for the clergies and students was established in 1984. This library consists of 86200 volumes of books in 34441 Persian, Arabic and English titles in two parts: source books and safekeeping ones.
These are classified according to creational classification and Simorgh software program to serve the wanters.
Beside this library, specialized art library with more than 25000 specialized book and tens of compact disks is in the clergy's and student's service.

Audio-visual part (Department of Voice)
This department in 1981 was established for offering seminary classes cassettes to the clergy and seminary students and now, it has more than 97000 subscribers in Qom and 3500 ones in the eities.
